HRW Calls Out Tanzania on Denying LGBTQI Health Rights
The government's health policies deny adequate services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and others who are particularly vulnerable to HIV, jeopardising public health, Human Rights Watch report has said. The rights lobby group says since President John Magufuli took office in 2015, civic space has been shrinking, with the government cracking down not only on LGBT people, but on the media as well.
