Nigeria Calls For Delay in New Regional Currency Launch

The Nigerian presidency has called for an extension date on the launch of the single currency, accepted by eight West African countries. The new currency will see those countries change their respective currencies to the Eco, and will see the final cutting of ties with the CFA Franc, a France-backed currency used by the former colonial power.
