International oil firms, Shell and ENI's bid to block a U.S.$1.1 billion civil claim over corruption allegations in Nigeria will go ahead next month, a London court ruled. The Nigerian government wanted the April court date postponed until January 2021, when a related criminal case in Milan would have been concluded.
