South Africa: Coronavirus Cases Rise to 150

The South African government has announced several regulations to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus, including limiting of social gatherings, closing bars by 6pm at night and restricting church gatherings. The government has called on major retailers to restrict price hikes on essential household items and also issued a directive that all communications on coronavirus be handled by a central point, with no health professionals able to speak to the media directly, as well as criminalizing the spread of COVID-19 disinformation - a move that the Committee for the Protection of Journalists says is "censorship".
