UN Launches Plan to Address Global COVID-19 Devastation

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres says the new coronavirus disease "is attacking societies at their core, claiming lives and people's livelihoods". A new report describes the speed and scale of the outbreak, the severity of cases, and the societal and economic disruption of the coronavirus. "This human crisis demands... maximum financial and technical support for the poorest and most vulnerable people and countries," Guterres says.
