All Hands on Deck as Zimbabwe Tackles Spread of COVID-19
Initially, the government announced it was going to free up to 6,000 prisoners under an amnesty that was meant to decongest the country's jails, but so far, only 1,680 prisoners have been released under the presidential amnesty to avert a further rise in coronavirus cases. Meanwhile, universities are manufacturing masks, gloves and hand sanitizers as the country intensifies efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19.
