Kenya Gears Up for Mass COVID-19 Testing Drive

Kenya has received nearly 40,000 testing kits as the country's confirmed cases hit close to 230. It comes in the wake of misleading information doing the rounds, including that elders from a remote village are encouraging locals to swim in the salty Indian Ocean waters daily to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has also allegedly made claims that alcohol will help Nairobians stay safe from the virus while donating small bottles of Hennessy alongside other foodstuffs.
