Malawi Court Halts COVID-19 Lockdown ... For Now

The High Court has stopped the government from implementing a nationwide lockdown for at least seven days. The ruling came after police used teargas to disperse hundreds of market vendors protesting a 21-day lockdown that was scheduled for April 19, 2020. Minister of Health Jappie Mhango has confirmed that there are 8 COVID-19 cases and one person died.
