Buhari's COVID-19 Chief, Health Minister Disagree on Kano Deaths

Nigeria's COVID-19 Presidential Task Force chief Dr Nasiru Gwarzo says 80% of the people who died in the state of Kano have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, while Health Minister Osagie Ehanire told the House of Representatives that there is "no conclusive evidence" that the deaths could be attributed to COVID-19. Meanwhile, Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje says diabetes, malaria and meningitis could be the cause of over 600 people dying since the beginning of April 2020.
