'We Need Leadership, Not Prayers', Tanzanian President Told

President John Magufuli has an obligation to lead Tanzania in the fight against COVID-19. He should leave religion to the priests and prioritise saving lives, Deogratias Munishi of main opposition party Chadema has said. The president said at a church in April that he would not introduce lockdown measures and instead called for three days of national prayer.
