This Is Why Tanzania's Sugar Crisis Persists

The prolonged nationwide shortage of sugar is because companies permitted to import the sweetener are not directly shipping the product into the country and not docking at Tanzania's ports, the sugar is being transported in smaller vessels which are only able to bring it in small portions, Agriculture Minister Japhet Hasunga has said.
