This is How Uganda Plans to Finance its U.S.$12 Billion Budget

Finance Minister Matia Kasaija will raise up to U.S.$8.5 billion to fund part of the spending pressures in the 2020/21 financial year. The balance of U.S.$3 billion will come from external sources such as loans and grants. Internally, the government intends to raise U.S.$5.5 billion from domestic revenues while over U.S.$700 million will come from domestic financing to recapitalise banks.
