Taxi Bodies Urged to Rethink Breaking South African Lockdown Laws

The South African National Taxi Council and the National Taxi Alliance have said that government is not taking the industry seriously and that they have decided to take the "the bull by its horns" and return to loading passengers at 100% capacity. Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula said in response: "We condemn in the strongest possible terms any call encouraging taxi operators to violate provisions of the law and promote lawlessness."
