Govt Closes More COVID-19 Centres in Tanzania

The health ministry says the country is now left with 11 treatment centres in operation from the initial 84, citing a significant fall in the number of the novel coronavirus infections as the reason for the closures. The government has repeatedly said that the COVID-19 cases are drastically down, although no official figures on the pandemic were released since May. Tanzania is one of the countries that will benefit from the African Development Bank's U.S.$9.52 million to enhance its COVID-19 response.
