Buhari, Governors Call for Joint Effort to End Nigeria Conflicts

Governors of all 36 Nigerian states are seeking financial assistance from the Buhari-led administration to enable them to fight growing insecurity in their respective states. In a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, they listed unemployment, poverty and the lack of trust between the military and citizens, as a cause for concern. They also mentioned that insurgency, banditry, kidnapping and other forms of crime were on the increase. The governors ended their meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari with calls for a joint strategy to bring various conflicts to an end.
