Nigerians Remember Former U.S. Ambassador Walter Carrington

Walter Carrington, who served as U.S. ambassador to Senegal and Nigeria, died on August 11 at age 90. In Nigeria, where he served from 1993 to 1997, he is remembered and revered for supporting pro-democracy forces and standing up to military dictator Sonny Abacha.
