We Can't Normalise Ties with Israel, Sudan Tells U.S.

Sudan's Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok has told U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, at a meeting in Khartoum that the transitional government is not authorised to decide on the normalisation of relations with Israel. Pompeo had flown from Tel Aviv to Khartoum to meet with the Sudanese leader. On the agenda was the discussion of "continued US support for the civilian-led transitional government and express(ing) support for deepening the Sudan-Israel relationship".
