Nigerians Drag Buhari Over Fuel, Food and Electricity Hikes

Nigerians have slammed President Muhammadu Buhari following increases in the price of basics, describing the move as "cruel and callous." The Nigeria Labour Congress has said that the government is taking Nigerians for granted. However, President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed concern about these hikes "at a time when the economy is already mirred in a slowdown occasioned by the global coronavirus situation," his spokesperson, Garba Shehu said. The country is facing a drop in revenues from oil - a major source of income - due to lower global demand.
