Nigeria's Quadri Leads Africa's Charge at Table Tennis World Cup

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has listed Nigeria's Aruna Quadri as one of the top 20 players in the world who will compete at the ITTF Men's World Cup scheduled for November 2020 in China. This comes despite his runner-up place against African Cup champion, Egypt's Ahmed Saleh in Tunisia in February 2020. This is Quadri's third consecutive World Cup, which will kickstart the resumption of both men's and women's table tennis, postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Quadri and Saleh will compete in the men's event while African Cup women's champion Dina Meshref of Egypt will be the continent's only representative in the women's World Cup.
