Nigeria Govt's Covid-19 Fund for Small Business Survival

The government has established a survival fund which is a conditional grant to support vulnerable micro and small enterprises to meeting their payroll obligations and safeguard jobs, following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The country has seen its reserves hit heavily with its oil revenue, the biggest income earner, taking a heavy knock as world prices took a dive. The pandemic has also spurred on government talks on ways of diversifying the economy to ensure continued growth.
