Somalia Urged to Delay Parliamentary Polls

Abshir Aden Ferro, a candidate in Somalia's February 2021 presidential elections, has urged Somalia to delay parliamentary elections for at least four years, warning that holding polls on December 27, 2020 could drive the country into the hands of militant group Al-Shabaab. The parliamentary polls will see voters choose between 27,775 delegates picked from across five federal states.
