Why I Was Forced to Flee Uganda - Feminist Activist Stella Nyanzi

Stella Nyanzi spent 18 months in prison for reportedly harassing President Yoweri Museveni's family on social media but was released in February 2020 for lack of evidence. Nyanzi criticised Uganda's government for failing to provide basic services to its citizens and focusing on silencing those who demand change. She says she was forced to flee Uganda for Kenya after her friends, family and partner were abducted.
