2021 Vital Year for China-Nigeria Relations - Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has hailed China's support for Nigeria as both countries mark 50 years of diplomatic relations. Buhari, in a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping to commemorate the bilateral ties between the two countries, expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and thanked China for among others, its support in defence matters and infrastructure development. Africa's leading economy, Nigeria remains China's major investment destination, surpassing Angola and South Africa. It is China's second largest trading partner and largest export market in Africa, Zhao Yong, China's Deputy Ambassador to Nigeria has said.
