Covid-19 Jabs on Track for Ugandan Health Workers

Uganda's health ministry will start vaccinating current MPs, MPs-elect, and all parliamentary staff against Covid-19 on March 25, 2021, parliamentary speaker Rebecca Kadaga has announced. The health ministry will need about 1,000 doses to cover the 457 current members, MPs-elect and over 400 staff members. The vaccination drive began with health workers on March 10, 2021. Currently 964,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine has been received. Of these, 700,000 doses are for health workers and teachers, while 100,000 doses have been distributed to security services, including army, police and prisons.
