More Kenyan Men Go For Covid-19 Jab Despite Slow Uptake

The health ministry has reported that as of April 1, 2021, 57% of the people that have been vaccinated are men and 43% women. Fourteen counties account for 75% of the total number of people vaccinated nationwide. There's reportedly still vaccine apathy among essential workers, including nurses, teachers and security officers. Over 45% of people in other categories have been vaccinated. Approximately 135,220 men have received at least one dose compared to 103,428 women. As of April 7, 2021 Kenya has recorded 139,842 Covid-19 cases, 96,578 recoveries and 2,258 deaths.
