Ethiopia's Grand Dam Talks Collapse

The latest round of talks between Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance hydropower dam on the Nile River appears to have broken down as Addis Ababa celebrates 10 years of the mammoth project. Hosted by the Democratic Republic of Congo in Kinshasa, the talks followed on rounds hosted by the U.S. under the Trump administration and South Africa's President Ramaphosa as part of his work as Chair of the African Union. The meeting between the three countries' foreign ministries began on Sunday and was extended into a third day on Tuesday.
