WHO Notes 'Plausible' Link Between AstraZeneca Vaccine, Clots

The AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine could possibly cause rare blood clots in some people but further studies are required to confirm the link, experts with the World Health Organization (WHO) has said. The AstraZeneca vaccine constitutes a large part of the portfolio of the COVAX global solidarity initiative, which has already shipped more than 36 million doses worldwide to more than 86 countries. As of April 8, 2021, 4,301,192 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed across Africa, of which 114,623 proved fatal and 3,868,135 resulted in recoveries while 8,289,261 vaccinations have been administered.
