U20 World Championships End With Kenya Cleaning Out Medals

Kenya has finished top of the medals table at the World Athletics Under-20 Championships at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani, with the men's 4x400m relay team putting an end to the event with a bronze in the final day, taking Kenya's tally to 16.

Kenya won eight gold medals, a silver, and seven bronze, bettering its last performance in Tampere, Finland, three years ago when the team amassed 11 medals.

Nigeria's total haul of medals at the five-day championship was four gold and three bronze medals which saw that country finish third overall on the final medals table while Zimbabwe's athletes could not go beyond the first round in their respective events.
