Following its launch in October 2021, the Kafawa Training Program, a partnership between my World of Bags and the Mastercard Foundation, has formally graduated its first set of fully-trained leather industry artisans, entrepreneurs, craftsmen, and women. The program's focus is to train young Nigerian women and men in leather and non-leather manufacturing work. Read on.

Kafawa Training Program graduation ceremony. The program is a partnership between my World of Bags and the Mastercard Foundation to train young Nigerian women and men in leather and non-leather manufacturing work.
Kafawa, which means 'establishment' in Hausa, is a training program focused on empowering and establishing a highly skilled generation of youth to enhance the quality of workmanship in Nigeria and Africa's leather and non-leather industries.
