Many Hurt In Train Collision and Tunisia President Wants Answers

President Kais Saied visited the site where 95 people sustained injuries after two trains collided near Djebel Jeljoud in the southern suburbs of the capital Tunis on March 21, 2022 a spokesperson for the Civil Protection, Moez Triaa has said.

According to a video released by the presidency, Saied said: "a human error would be the cause of this collision". He added that "anyone who has not fulfilled his task properly must assume his responsibilities". 

Many of the injured suffered fractures or bruises, while no fatalities or serious injury was reported. 

An investigation into the cause of the accident has been initiated.
