Doctors' Report Reveals Sudan Protests Are 'The New Killer'

The Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors (CCSD) has confirmed in their report "The New Killer", that authorities in Khartoum are still using deadly violence against the peaceful revolutionaries and that the revolutionary protesters are still adhering to their peaceful protest tactics, 'which has proven their strength against bullets and the security arsenal'. Among the protesters was Mohammed Abdellatif, 28, who was shot and killed at close range by the joint security forces in Wad Madani during the weekend's Marches of the Millions, bringing the total number of martyrs since the October 25, 2021 military coup to 90. On March 23, 2022 the number of injured during the Khartoum North (Bahri) protests were 7 - with 5 injuries from live bullets, including a wound to the chest. The CCSD report indicates that there were other cases of injuries that were treated by field aid teams, that are not included in the list. The committee said it has recorded 4 deaths and 327 gunshot cases, as well as some light shotgun injuries that has been treated by field teams, since October 25, 2022.
