Researchers Urged to Work With Tanzanian Farmers on Crop Yields

The government has called on research institutes in the country to liaise with farmers, to identify areas on where to grow strategic crops and increase productivity.

Arusha Regional Commissioner, John Mongela, said that steps should be taken to ensure food security in the country, for the economic benefit of the nation.

Mongela issued a directive taht researchers meet with farmers in their fields, to issue guidelines in agricultural production, including the proper use of pesticides.
