Dozens of Churchgoers Killed In Attack In Nigeria's Ondo State

An attack was launched on the St Francis Catholic Church in Ondo State during mass on June 5, 2022 killing at least 70 people.

The assailants opened fire on worshippers and detonated explosives. According to reports, several children are among the dead.

President Muhammadu Buhari condemned the "heinous killing of worshippers." He added that Nigeria will "never give in to evil and wicked people."

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
