How ICT Can Advance Equality, Peace in Post-Conflict South Sudan

During this year's UN Commission for the Status of Women (CSW) policy makers, women-led organisations and activists met to address the widespread inequalities, violence, and discrimination women and girls continue to face, all around the world.

This year's 67th session of the CSW was under the theme of Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.

South Sudan, as the world's youngest country, faces many challenges and uncertainty in achieving peace. As online platforms continue to move the world forward and provide opportunities for women's political, economic, and social inclusion, South Sudanese women and girls are left behind with little to no access to digital technology.
