Liberia Maritime Officials Jailed in Korea for Sexual Assault

Moses Owen Brown and Daniel Tarr of the Liberia Maritime Authorit who were held for sexual abuse in Korea, have been found guilty of sexual assault and sentenced to nine years each.

The two officials were detained in 2022 after allegedly raped two Korean teenagers, according to Korean authorities. In an earlier statement, the Liberian government confirmed it seeks legal action, and engaged with the Korean government via diplomatic channels to explore potential options.
