The Institut Pasteur de Dakar (IPD) brings together key capabilities and functions to address public health challenges in Africa. The Institut Pasteur de Dakar plays an important regional role through its various specialized reference laboratories and its partnership with WHO in the fight against infectious diseases. The Institut Pasteur de Dakar is one of the four WHO prequalified manufacturers to supply yellow fever vaccines to UN Agencies.

During his keynote address at the 2023 African Diaspora Investment Symposium #ADIS23, Dr. Amadou A Sall, CEO, Institut Pasteur de Dakar in Senegal and Director, WHO Collaborating Center for Arboviruses and Viral Hemorrhagic Fever, encouraged diasporas to invest in healthcare innovations in Africa.
