Third Term Talk By Zimbabwe Ruling Party Raises Concerns

Apparent moves within the ruling Zanu PF party to secure a third term for President Emmerson Mnangagwa, contrary to Zimbabwe's Constitution, have raised concerns for the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Douglas Mwonzora.

Calls for Mnangagwa to extend his tenure are "gaining traction" within Zanu PF, particularly in Masvingo province, and Mwonzora labeled them as "irresponsible and a violation of the Constitution" which will further isolate Zimbabwe internationally.
