DR Congo's First Woman Prime Minister Takes Office

Judith Suminwa Tuluka, an economist, has been appointed as the first female Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

She is taking over from Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde and previously served as the planning minister. Tuluka's main focus will be on peace and development efforts, with special attention given to the conflict-ridden eastern provinces.
