Surveys Reveal Education Setbacks in Eastern and Southern Africa

Despite increased awareness of children's rights, new Unicef data reveals significant educational challenges for children across Eastern and Southern Africa.

Researchers have found that 87% of children are aware of their rights. Children in Tanzania have expressed concerns about digital literacy and vocational training, while girls in multiple regions expressed concerns about menstrual hygiene in schools, while only 34% of Somali children attend primary school.
