Kenyan Court Lifts Order Blocking Arrest of Public Officials

A High Court in Kiambu County is no longer enforcing a ban on the arrest of governors and other public officials, clearing the path for law enforcement to resume legal actions. The "conservatory orders" had shielded several county leaders from arrest or detention while a constitutional petition was being heard. Legal experts say the ruling has nationwide implications, as it had effectively stalled investigations and prosecutions of high-ranking officials across the country.
