The Minister for Tourism, Najib Balala, has welcomed Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete's move of putting off the construction of a commercial Highway running through the Serengeti National Reserve in North Tanzania.The highway would have cut through a section of the Northern Serengeti and subsequently affected the great animal migration which involves the Mara. An alternative commercial road will be constructed running around the south of the Serengeti.
