The Kenya police force remains one of the most corrupt institution in the East African region, according to the 2011 East African bribery index. A report released today (Friday) places the Tanzania police as the most corrupt at 80.85, followed by the Kenya police at 81% with the Burundi and Uganda police forces taking up the third and fourth slots at 77.8 and 74.1%. The Rwanda police force is the least corrupt at 21%. And that obviously means the police force remains the most corrupt institution in the country. Kenya though has recorded a slight improved ranking in the overall ranking, falling from the third to the fourth position.
