The bloodbath in Tana River County continues. Death stalks virtually every resident of the far flung region in the coast region with retaliatory attack becoming the norm. At least 38 people have been killed in yet another retaliatory attack in Tana River County, even as police claimed they had intensified security in the volatile region. More than 500 heavily armed raiders ambushed residents of Kilelengwani village killing 16 men, 5 women, 8 children and 9 police officers. Police said the raiders suspected to be from the Pokomo community on a revenge mission also torched a police camp and 167 houses in the 7AM attack. Evelyn Wambui with the latest on the Tana River clashes that has since brought the number of those killed as a result to over 100 in the last 3 weeks.
