The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has rejected the South African National Defence Force Union (SANDU)'s allegation that the SANDF trained the Central Africa Republic rebels who killed 13 South African soldiers and wounded 27 others.

This contradicted government's version that the South African soldiers were attacked by rebels at their base outside the capital Bangui. The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) spokesperson Xolani Mabanga has appealed to the South African National Defence Force Union (SANDU) just to stop using situation like this for gains or interest that is known to them.
