Eskom and Unions to Discuss New Wage Offer

Wage talks between Eskom and unions will resume Wednesday after the power utility made an offer of four-point-seven percent. The unions, led by Num and Numsa, have undertaken to give a formal response after consulting with their members overnight. The unions want between 10 and 15 per cent. The NUMSA General-Secretary, Irvin Jim, says the unions feel that Eskom top executives are not taking the negotiations seriously.
