Despite Kenya's heavy debt burden, National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich will outline new expenditures and taxation measures to fund a Sh3.02 trillion (U.S.$29.7 billion) budget. Even though this year's budget is a 4.2% reduction compared to 2018's, taxation of key commodities will still deal a blow to the average Kenyan who is already struggling with inflation.
