Karim Othmani is 35 years old date broker and owner of various palm trees plantations in Sagdoud stands in one of his plantations, Tunisia. He is married and has two children. He worked for Nouri dates as a date picker for 5 years. He harvest the dates and the selected fruit are then carried to Nouri. Now that he have become a subcontractor for Nouri, our situation has improved. He have more warehouses and he have hired more workers. Najeh Nouri is the general manager of the Nouri et Cie factory Tozeur, Tunisia. From 40 years, Nouri has specialised in the export of dates. Between 3,800 and 4,200 tons of our products are specifically intended for export. He buys the dates as standing crops so he can store them cold. After eight or nine months, he have to export them, so he need working capital. Riadh Zitouni is The General Director of the Banque de l'Habitat in Tozeur, Tunisia. Ibtihel Chtioui is 30 years old employee of the Nouri & Cie plant for 4 yearss. Her sister and she work in packaging at Nouri dates. When she finished school, she was unemployed for an entire year, which was very hard. She had no pocket money. Her parents did give her some but very little. Then she found this job at Nouri and now she earns a good salary that allows her to cover her expenses and help her family."
