Kenya Telkom's opponents in the Ninth African Women's Club Championships' first round, Academica Maputo from Mozambique, arrive in Nairobi on Friday on a chartered flight.
The continental game will be played at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday from 3 pm, having been moved from its original venue at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) administrative assistant, Pamella Ogoye, said the first leg match will be officiated by Egyptian referee Ahmed Falaki and South African Mofolo Simon.
The technical commissar for the match - which is expected to be a thriller given both teams' experience - will be Andy Suklal of South Africa.
Ogoye also confirmed that the return match in Mozambique will be played on June 9 and not June 2 as had been earlier announced.
The officials for the return match, she confirmed, will be Alberto Quintas from Angola, who will be the first referee, Egyptian Oussama Debagh, the second referee while the match's technical commissar will be Tooma Adel also from Egypt.
At the same time, the Kenya Basketball Federation has postponed the National Classic League matches which were programmed for Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Ogoye said the league's postponement was meant to give the Kenyan basketball fans time off to cheer Telkom to victory.
The matches postponed are: Telkom women vs Kenya Railways, a match earlier planned for 2.00 pm on Saturday, and the Postbank vs Kencom Lions clash earlier scheduled for 4.00 pm, also on Saturday at Nyayo Stadium.
The only matches which will be played on Saturday are the division one clash between Lifebuoy and Western Bulls at 10.00 am and the Mennonites vs JKUAT clash which takes off at 12.00 noon.
The league programme for Sunday, she said, will remain as earlier programmed with JKUAT playing Western Bulls from 10.00 am, Eaglets taking on NSSF at 12.00 noon, NSSF Stars tackling Terror at 2.00 pm and Co-operative Bank taking on Eagles at 4.00 pm.
