Uganda: Presidents in Dialogue With Businessmen

Kampala — PRESIDENTS Yoweri Museveni, Joachim Chissano of Mozambique, Bakili Muluzi of Malawi who are attending the Smart Partnership Dialogue International at Speke Resort, Munyonyo, last evening jointly met selected business chief executives from the region.

The meeting was meant to promote business dialogue and establish business cooperation in the region, according to a press release from the President's Office. The Ugandan business executives were led by the Uganda Investment Authority boss, Dr. Maggie Kigozi and included the chairman of the Uganda Manufacturers Association, Dr. William Kalema and the joint chairman of the Dialogue, Mr. James Mulwana.

It was attended by water, lands and environment minister, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda. Later, President Museveni received a special envoy from President Edourdo dos Santos of Angola, Mr. Lutucuta who is also his country's minister of agriculture and rural development, Lutucuta is also the current chairman of the Inter-Africa Coffee Organisation (IACO).

The Angolan Minister conveyed to President Museveni a special message from President dos Santos.
