Kwanzaa Party! (Rounder CD 2153) could, as its name suggests, fuel a torrid dance party.

A primer for participants in the African-American Kwanzaa holiday, which is celebrated throughout the African diaspora, Kwanzaa Party! is carefully crafted to induce movement.

Many of the African diaspora's most danceable music styles are represented, with hits from exceptional acts like Cuba's NG La Banda to The Staple Singers, Boukan Ginen, and Roaring Lion.

The African cuts include scorchers from Kanda Bongo Man, Africando and Kenya's Orchestre Super Mazembe.

DJ seguing is the only missing component on this hot disk: a detail for the demanding.
